I am not a chef. I am however a very experienced cook. I have been cooking for over 60 years, which should tell you how old I am. I have amassed over one thousand recipes of which I have created quite a few. I’ve cooked and baked for the public and have catered many social events. My specialty is Pies. I love love love baking pies, but I have also cooked everything from Scones to Veal Stew to Steak Diane. I am passionate about the culinary world; if you are reading this, I’m guessing you are too.
My Mission
My main mission for the Blog is to provide recipes you can trust. All recipes in the Blog I have tested and prepared myself. So I know they are Trustworthy and Reliable. I do not post a recipe that doesn’t meet my standards. When I find recipes that don’t work I troubleshoot and modify it until it does work. So you can rest assured that these recipes are dependable. And If you have any questions you can contact me at Darlene@darlenetable.Com and I will be happy to help.
Cooking Defines Me
In the beginning, what started as a necessity, now has become just part of who I am. It’s what I do, It’s what I love, It’s my passion. I read articles, I buy cookbooks, search the Internet, go to cooking schools, I watch cooking shows. Cooking is just a huge part of my life. Not that I don’t have other interests, I do, but eventually, every conversation with me will ultimately end around the subject of food.
So with all this pent-up energy and the strong desire to teach what I have learned, I needed an outlet. That’s when we started my YouTube channel 10 years ago. Fortunately, I married someone who is equally passionate about food. He’s not a cook. Emphasis on NOT A COOK, but loves everything about food. He is my encourager, and sometimes inspiration. He is my Videographer, Video Editor, and Website Administrator. It is safe to say if it involves A computer, he takes care of it. So we make a pretty good team.
