Creamy Grape Salad
Everyone raves when I bring this refreshing, creamy grape salad to potlucks. For a special finishing touch, sprinkle it with brown sugar and pecans. You can easily just make 1/2 of this recipe, but it keeps so well why would you. It’s so addictive —Marge Elling, Jenison, Michigan
TOTAL TIME: Prep/Total Time: 20 min. YIELD: 24 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 pounds seedless red grapes
- 2 pounds seedless green grapes
- Topping when served:
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons chopped pecans
Directions
1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until blended. Add grapes and toss to coat.
2. Cover and refrigerate until serving. **Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans on each individual bowl just before serving.
NOTE:
DO NOT PUT BROWN SUGAR AND PECANS IN LARGE BOWL OR CONTAINERS WITH SALAD. The brown sugar will liquify and salad won’t keep as well. If your grapes are fresh and crisp, this salad keeps for days in the refrigerator
