1 - 11single-crust deep-dish pie crustpre-baked and completely cooled

1medium onionfinely chopped
1garlic cloveminced
1/4cupall-purpose flour
1/2tspsalt
6slicesAmerican cheese or 1 cup shredded cheddar
1/2cupchopped dill pickles
2Tblspickle juice
4Tblsmayonnaise
1/3cupmilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic over medium heat, breaking beef into crumbles, until meat is no longer pink; drain. Sprinkle with flour and salt; cook for 2 minutes more. Stir in mayonnaise, pickle juice and milk. Cook for 2 minutes more. Fold in the chopped pickles
Spoon 1/3 of filling into crust; then 1/2 of the cheese. Layer with another 1/3 of filling; then second 1/2 of cheese. Layer with the last of the filling and bake about 15-20 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Top with avocado, tomato, lettuce and bacon if desired.
